Tekeli-li! dark artistry 's Deep Ones are a line of "realistic" merfolk- ie, based on real fish. Great care has been taken to interpret the traits of the real fish if hybrid with a human, and the AO is designed to create an appearance of naturalistic motion. They were inspired by the artist's lifelong love of aquatic creatures, and loving attention has been paid to detail, with an aim of exceptional quality.
The Betta Splendens are based upon the fish they're called for, commonly called the Siamese Fighting Fish. In particular, the fin form is based on the Plakat, or short-finned Betta, which is the naturally occuring variety, and much healthier than veiltail Betta. This complete avatar contains a skin, shape, eyes, prim body attachments, and accessories. The shape is NOT required, you may wear your own, but the shapes included are optimized for the prim parts, and are moddable. All the prim parts (excluding the animated betta pet) are moddable in order to fit them ideally to your own AV if desired, and copyable so you can make backups first. The little betta pet (wearable, not a follower, it can't get lost) is not modifiable as a safety, due to modding it potentially breaking the animations.
The animation override is not just a basic one- it includes not only the mer-swimming, it also has 5 merAV appropriate ground-sit lounge poses, and 5 sits which are compatible with most human poseball furniture, animating the lower body only and allowing the poseball to take over the upper body as intended. NOTE- The stand/swim(fly)/walk are the same. This is for a reason. By it being this way, you are assured that there will not be a "popup" between animations while the ZHAO sensor switches, as, it is not in fact instant, and, sometimes there is a brief latency. This eliminates the latency for a more consistent natural appearance.
Windlight glow effects have been added to enhance the jewelry- it can be toggled on/off via chat commands. This effect is only visible in the Windlight viewer. 2 versions of fins included, whole undamaged fins, and ragged post-fight fins.
