Item Description
I did a lot of research before making these - I wanted to make some royal Japanese textures but the more I looked into it the more I found that the walls of palaces in ancient Japan were quite bare indeed - they had sumptuous wallhangings to be sure, but the walls (and floors, ceilings etc.) themselves were largely unadorned... I found out that woodcarving was considered a 'throwaway activity' in Japan for hundreds of years... Which is why I've called these textures 'Fantasy Japanese' - these belong in the worlds of the Kung Fu movie and the videogame rather than the history book. Having said that, if you're looking for some really special textures for your Oriental build then look no further!
All the carvings and adornments on these textures are waves or fish! They even include a wall hanging of 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa' by Hokusai (original image is public domain). There's also lots of alphas - a moon window, a balcony, an underhang etc...
These intricate and highly detailed textures come in two sizes - so even though it says 20 on the box you actually get 40! Size One is 256x512 / 512x512 for speed of appearance, and Size Two is 512x1024 / 1024x1024 for full resolution! You get to choose between speed of appearance and depth of detail for a change! Busy mall or laggy sim? Choose Size One. Samurai themed skybox home? Size Two....
All the textures in this pack are ORIGINAL, HANDMADE, high quality and created using beautiful Photoshop CS3. They come with contact sheets and full customer support, should you require it. They are all either 100% SEAMLESS or seamless left to right as appropriate.
These textures are FULL PERM for SALEABLE CONTENT CREATION but are NOT FOR RESALE OR REDISTRIBUTION AS TEXTURES. :-)
