And then there was Marilyn.... To many, "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is Marilyn Monroe's signature number. The colors of the film are still glorious after all these years, as is the performance by Monroe, swathed in a pink strapless gown with that bustle bow, and those gloves that go all the way to her shoulders, and dripping in diamonds. This image has inspired copies and parodies almost since the beginning; think Madonna in the video for her "Material Girl," and Jenna Elfman in Town and Country. This photo comes from a publicity shot for the movie. Silver and (appropriately) pink matting; gold-metal frame. 1 prim. Great for the movie buffs!
