Presenter HUD with IntelliLoad, Version 3.0 - Getting Started
This tool now comes in two versions (both included in the package), please check below to decide which version is right for you to use...
PERSONAL VERSION
- can only be used by the owner (HUD and Screen must have the same owner)
- can work in close proximity to other Screens
- communications range 20 metres (normal chat), private channel
This version of the Presenter is ideal in situations where you have multiple screens with multiple users in a small geographical area and you want to avoid them interfering with each other in terms of commuications. Simply put, the HUD and Screen will only talk to each other if they are owned by the same person. Once you have rezzed the Screen and worn the HUD, only you will have control over what is shown on the Screen.

MULTI-USER VERSION
- can be used by multiple owners (Screen responds to any nearby HUD)
- will control all Screens in the vicinity

This version of the Presenter is ideal for single spaces which are used by a variety of people at different times, or for dual presentations. Each HUD uses a random communications channel for the drop-down menu, avoiding confusing communications between HUDs, but each HUD will be allowed to display slides on the Screen(s). Ideal for conferences and larger events, and for multiple presenters or teachers.

Getting Started
1) The Main Presentation Screen
The main screen is a standard presentation screen designed to show textures, or image slides. Rez the screen in place. There is one texture in the inventory of the screen - 'screenoff' . Please do not alter the 'screenoff' texture as this is a transparent texture which guarantees that your Presentation Screen will have the appearance of being off when it is not in use.
The screen has been designed so that it will do nothing without the HUD. This means that you will not encounter problems with anybody in the audience trying to operate it whilst you are doing a presentation. Your image choice via the HUD will always overrride anything else.
The screen also features a small texture preloader prim (IntelliLoad) in the bottom left-hand corner. As soon as the HUD is worn, it starts cycling through your slides on this prim, one every 30 seconds. This is designed so that your entire presentation will be loaded into cache for everybody present as they arrive and get settled. In this way your audience should no longer suffer from screens not rezzing during your presentation, as all textures should be cached long before you display them.
2) The Presentation HUD
This is the only way of controlling the textures shown. Edit the HUD and put the slides you wish to show into the Content tab. I'd recommend making your textures full permissions before you do (to do this, right-click each texture, choose 'Properties' and then check the following options:
- Allow anyone to copy
- Next owner can: Modify, Copy, Resell/Give Away
To do a presentation, note the following procedure:

1) The back and forward arrows will load the next (or previous) image into the thumbnail view (the smaller of the two HUD screens) and transfer the current thumbnail image to the main preview area (the bigger of the the two HUD screens) of the HUD
2) The thumbnail shows the next slide in your presentation
3) The main preview area shows the current slide - click it to display it on the Main Presentation Screen
4) Click the thumbnail for a list of all your current slides - choose one to display it on the Main Presentation Screen
