Information Server Instructions
The Information Server will allow you to deliver a notecard and landmark to visitors across the whole of a sim via a set of networked Information Posts.
Information Server [ no copy ]
Rez the Server. Edit the Server and replace the sample notecard and sample landmark in the Content tab. Ensure that you only place one notecard and one landmark in the Server.
Information Posts [ copy ]
Place as many Information Posts as you need on your land. There is no configuration to do with the Information Post unless you want to set floating text on it. If you do, put the text in the Description field of the Post and reset it (in Edit mode, click on the Tools menu, then 'Reset Scripts in Selection). To get rid of the floating text, delete any text in the Post's Description field and reset it again.
In order to update the information served by all the Posts, simply replace the two items in your server and all the Posts will automatically update. When a user clicks on one of the Information Posts they will be offered a menu comprising the notecard and landmark choices.
