Exhibition HUD Kit - Getting Started
The Exhibition HUD consists of two parts: a full mod HUD and a sample exhibit. Its primary use is to provide more detailed information for people in exhibitions or displays, allowing them to browse a large quantity of information at their leisure
Sample Exhibit The sample exhibit is a picture of a death's head moth. In order for an exhibit to send the information the HUD needs, it must have the same name as the corresponding texture in the HUD. Note that you don't have to use this exhibit post, but can remove the script and put it in any object of your choosing.
1) Place a copy of 'Death's Head Moth' out on the floor 2) Drag your chosen image over the front screen to re-texture it 3) Rename the exhibit - e.g. Dragonfly
The HUD The full-mod HUD will carry all the textures of the different exhibits. Simple place them in the Content tab of the HUD in edit mode. Right-click the HUD to wear it on the top-left of your screen. It features a monitor screen for the exhibit textures and an on/off switch which will allow you to show and hide the HUD as you need it.
1) Place a copy of the exhibit image in the HUD inventory 2) Ensure it has exactly the same name as the exhibit - e.g. Dragonfly 3) Ensure it is full perms (right-click - properties - allow copy, modify, etc.) 4) Distribute the HUD to your users
REMEMBER: the exhibit object must have the same name as the corresponding texture in the HUD
