Item Description
Blog Reader V2.0 - Getting Started
The Blog Reader will parse and display most RSS feeds.
1) Rez the reader (Blog Reader V2.0) - it will show the default blog
2) Use the forward and back arrows to move between blog posts
3) Use the read button to open a web browser and read the entire post.
To configure for a different blog, edit the Reader and change the notecard called 'rss address'. The entry should have two lines:
blog title
blog URL
e.g.
Linden Lab Blog
http://slife.dudeney.com/?feed=rss2
Please ensure that you have no more than two lines in the notecard.
Note that this Reader is free and runs a PHP script on my server to parse the blog feed. If my server gets hit too much or otherwise inconvenienced then this service may be discontinued. However, the scripts for this Blog are open source, so if you want to use them, please feel free to contact me and set them up on your own server. You will need a PHP-enabled server and suitable feed parsing scripts - this Player uses MagicParser (www.magicparser.com - US$38)
As a free tool I can't really provide too much support. Feel free to IM me and I'll see what I can do, but if it breaks, look on the bright side - you didn't pay anything for it : - )

It's a great addition to my store, but I wish there were a good way to force a refresh of the content. I have mine set up to hit show content from my blog, but over 5 hours since I wrote a new post it's not showing up on the device. That's the only thing keeping me from rating it a five.
