Podcast Player V3.0 - Getting Started
The Podcast Player will parse and play most audio and video blog feeds resulting in mp3 or mov files.
1) Rez the player (Podcast Player V3.0)
2) Rez the antenna (Podcast Player V3.0 Antenna) near the screen
3) Deed the antenna if you do not own your land (or it is group owned)
4) Click the screen to start listening to podcast episodes
To add your own podcasts, edit the screen and change the notecard called 'podcasts'. Each entry is in the following format:
podcast name = podcast URL
e.g. Radio 4 Today = http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/radio4/today/rss.xml
Note that this Player is free and runs a PHP script on my server to parse the podcast feed. If my server gets hit too much or otherwise inconvenienced then this service may be discontinued. However, the scripts for this Player are open source, so if you want to use them, please feel free to contact me and set them up on your own server. You will need a PHP-enabled server and suitable feed parsing scripts - this Player uses MagicParser (www.magicparser.com - US$38)
As a free tool I can't really provide too much support. Feel free to IM me and I'll see what I can do, but if it breaks, look on the bright side - you didn't pay anything for it : - )
