›› What is a vendor?

A vendor is an in world object that can display and sell items you have listed on shop.onrez.com.

There are many styles available for you vendor. Low prim vendors show only 1 item at a time. Paged vendors show thumbnails of multiple items at once. See all available vendors here.

Shop OnRez vendors are customizable so you can retexture them to suit your brand.

›› What are the different types of vendors?

There are a number of different types of vendors you can use in world.

• Standard Vendor: This is a 4-prim vendor that shows 1 item at a time with previous and next buttons.
• Searchable Vendor: This is a 6-prim vendor that works in the same way as the Standard Vendor, but users can also search for all items for sale by avatars in you OnRez account. Searchable Vendors can be used with or without vendor packs.
• Paged Vendor: Paged vendors show multiple thumbnails of items at once. The previous and next buttons will jump to the next 'page' of available items. Paged vendors do not support search.

›› How do I get images to show up for my products in my Second Life vendors?

You need to tell our system which in-world texture goes with which product. To do this, place a texture inside your dropboxes for each product you want to sell in Shop OnRez's in-world kiosks or your in-world vendors. When you edit the details of each product in Item Management, you can associate your product with that in-world texture on the Image tab. You need to put your texture in the same dropbox as the product it represents.

›› How do I use a vendor?

First, create a vendor pack. A vendor pack is a collection of items that you want to display in your vendor.

Then, choose a vendor to have delivered to your avatar in Second Life. Vendor packs are compatible with all vendor types offered from Shop OnRez.

When you rez your vendor, you will be prompted to select a vendor pack. Pick the pack you want to display and your vendor will be filled automatically. You can touch the root prim of your vendor (the bottom-most prim) to choose a new vendor pack at any time.

›› How do I update my vendors?

If you make a change to your vendor pack on the website, you don't need to do anything else! Your changes will be pushed out to your in world vendors automatically. It may take a few minutes for the changes to reach your vendor.

If you want to change which pack your vendor is displaying, touch the root prim of your vendor (i.e., the bottom center) and select the "New Pack" button.

›› Can I customize my vendor?

Yes you can! Customize your prims once and use them all around the grid.

›› Can I give my vendors to other people?

No. At the moment, no resale vendors are available.

›› How do I search for items at a vendor?

Click the "Search" button on Searchable Vendors.
